Rachel is an award-winning cartoonist, turned front-end developer, turned animator. A self-proclaimed CSS nerd, Rachel came into animation CSS first. She thought her dream of bringing her cartoons to life died with Flash, until she discovered she could bend CSS to her will. Rachel has always been working toward experimenting with web animations indefinitely—founding her studio, Tin Magpie, has allowed her to do just that. Rachel spends her days making the web do all kinds of magic it wasn’t built to do.
Rachel, an advocate for Flash-joke free zones, also travels the world spreading the good news of animation and how it can be used to improve the adoption of interfaces.
